Hello, and welcome! My name is Melissa, and I’m passionate about providing children with a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where they feel loved, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow.
I bring over 25 years of experience in child care, including 14 years as the director of a government-licensed group family child care home. Throughout those years, my daycare consistently received high scores on annual Family Day Care Rating Scale (FDCRS) inspections, reflecting my commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining high standards.
I bring this same dedication, experience, and commitment to my current daycare. The health, safety, and well-being of every child in my care are my top priorities. I follow all applicable government regulations to ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment where children can feel comfortable, build confidence, develop independence, and thrive.
I believe that every child is unique and deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged as they discover the world around them. It is a privilege to be part of each child’s early learning journey and to build trusting relationships with families along the way.
My daycare is a warm, nurturing environment inspired by Montessori principles. I believe children learn best when they are given opportunities to explore, make choices, develop independence, and learn through hands-on experiences.
Children are encouraged to participate in age-appropriate practical life activities, care for their environment, develop self-help skills, and explore activities at their own pace. I focus on fostering curiosity, confidence, independence, and a love of learning while allowing children plenty of time for imaginative and creative play.
While my program is not a formally accredited Montessori program, Montessori-inspired principles are incorporated naturally into my everyday childcare environment.
